A Wildlife Exclusion Service (AWES) was created by Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue to help the public with humane evictions of nuisance wildlife living under homes, in walls, or in attics. Please check out our website www.awces.com to learn more about our services.
If you would like to book an exclusion or have nuisance wildlife questions, please call us at 707-992-0276.
In the state of California it is illegal to trap and relocate wildlife. All animals that are trapped and taken away from where they are found must be killed and the service providing the eviction does not have to tell you. Be sure to ask when you are booking with a company to see if they provide humane evictions. To read about California trapping laws take a look at our Trapping Laws page.
AWES offers a humane and life-oriented approach to animal control. Techniques are applied to remove intrusive animals and prevent future use of your building or home by wildlife. AWES technicians identify how an animal is getting in and seal points of entry without trapping the animal inside. The solution motivates the animal to leave the property and reduces the likelihood of other animals getting in.
A Wildlife Exclusion Service provides a range of services, some of which are not available from traditional providers. We specialize in, but are not limited to:
• Opossums, raccoons, skunks, and bats
• Residences and businesses
• Site inspections with detailed evaluations and advice
• Custom exclusion installation or referrals
• Animal dropping clean-up
• Dead animal removal
"The predator scent worked well. My dog Tova and I were awakened in the middle of the night for at least 10 days by a very loud thrashing noise but there's been no problem since I put out the predator scent. I'll put the other half out soon just in case. Neighbors saw a skunk digging under the house foundation at their home across the street. The guys from Wildlife Rescue who did the outside house inspection were terrific. (Wonderful with my dog too.) They didn't find any space large enough for a skunk, possum, or raccoon. You are all so awesome. I enjoyed being out there and learning a little about your dedication to very important work. I haven't stopped talking about how wonderful you are and how beautiful the property is. Thank you. " - Zelda
