  • We are permitted through the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, the US Department of Argiculture and the US Department of Fish and Wildlife to treat most wild mammals.
  • We also rehabilitate raptors: hawks, owls, and eagles.
  • We will stabilize waterbirds and gulls and transfer them to International Bird Rescue when stable.
  • We treat doves, pigeons, and crows as well. All juvenile crows go to Santa Rosa Bird Rescue. In the summer, please call to confirm the age of crows as it can be hard to spot the difference.
  • We do not take songbirds (sparrows, woodpeckers, finches, swallows, etc.).
  • We do not take turkeys.
  • We do not take deer.
  • We do not take mice, voles, gophers, or rats.
  • Any questions about which animal you have, please call.

Need Rescue Assistance?

If you are not able to contain and transport an animal into care safely, please call our Wildlife Hotline.

For a rescue to be dispatched the finders must keep eyes on the animal until rescue personnel arrive.

Please note that wildlife rescues take time and vary in difficulty depending on the condition of the animal and it's ability to flee.
